Introduction

A love story spanning 10 years with the backdrops of snowscape in Yubari and cityscape in Shanghai. Casting Lin Chiling from Red Cliff, director Tetsuo Shinohara depicts the relationship between two men and a woman.
Lin Yue, an art student from Shanghai, meets rescue team member Mamoru in Yubari and falls in love. After he dies, she carries out his wish to open a chocolate store in Shanghai, and is watched over by Mamoru's friend Soichiro who secretly harbors feelings for her. This Japan-China co-production, set amid the beautiful scenery of Shanghai and Yubari, is the latest film from director Tetsuo Shinohara. It is a story of true love that follows a love triangle over ten years to its conclusion. Starring Lin Chiling ({Red Cliff) as Lin Yue, Hiroyuki Ikeuchi as Soichiro, and newcomer Yusuke Fukuchi as Mamoru.

Director
Tetsuo Shinohara

Born in 1962 in Tokyo. After graduating from Meiji University's Faculty of Law, he worked under Yoshimitsu Morita and Shun Nakahara as an assistant director. His first theatrical feature was Tsuki to Kyabetsu (1996). Since then he has directed films across genres, including Sentakuki wa Ore ni Makasero (1999), First Love (2000), Inochi (2002), Karaoke Terror (2003), Breathe In, Breathe Out (2004) and Battle Under Orion (2009).
