Director
John Madden

Born in England. He began his career as an artistic director of the Oxford and Cambridge Shakespeare Company. Moving to the U.S. in 1975, he worked as a stage director. His feature directorial debut was Ethan Frome, starring Liam Neeson, in 1993. Shakespeare in Love won three Golden Globe Awards, four BAFTA, and seven Academy Awards including Best Picture. He also directed Captain Corelli’s Mandolin and Proof.
