Introduction

This heartwarming tale of a lonesome girl named Nina, who teaches singing and dog-sits during her summer holidays on the outskirts of Rome, is the debut feature of a promising female director. Its striking cinematography evokes Nina's indefinable anxiety.

As the protagonist glides through Rome's suburbs, the depopulated scenery is refreshing and unique like a fantasy world. This film is driven by young talent including its director, born in 1981. Star Diane Fleri got her break in My Brother Is an Only Child (2007) and went on to work in theater and television, while Luca Marinelli was powerful in The Solitude of Prime Numbers (2010) and Marina Rocco made an impression with The Waltz (2007).
